Raya Logistics has been awarded a Certificate of Destruction under the Presidential
National Initiative "Go Green" for E-Waste Awareness and Recycling, recognizing the
company's commitment to responsible environmental practices and sustainable operations.
As part of this initiative, Raya Logistics ensured the proper recycling of tires and
industrial batteries used across its nationwide logistics fleet. This effort prevented
hazardous materials from contaminating soil and water resources while reducing
approximately 650–700 kg of CO₂e emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment
and supporting Egypt's sustainability objectives.
This achievement reflects Raya Logistics' ongoing commitment to integrating
environmental responsibility into its operations through practical actions that
promote resource efficiency and the principles of the circular economy.
We received a new Certificate of Recognition from E‑Tadweer, highlighting our ongoing
commitment to responsible e‑waste recycling and our broader sustainability vision. By
recycling 49 PCs, 39 monitors, and 11 printers, we helped prevent 621 kg of CO₂
equivalent emissions — another step forward in reducing our environmental footprint.
This achievement reflects more than just numbers; it embodies our green vision to drive
sustainability and environmental responsibility across every aspect of our operations.
Since day one, E‑Tadweer has supported this journey — not only as a recycling partner,
but as a trusted ally helping us advance toward a more circular and resource‑efficient
future.
Together, we remain dedicated to transforming environmental responsibility into
meaningful action and creating a lasting impact for generations to come.
On World Environment Day, and under this year's theme #NowForClimate,
we reaffirm our belief that meaningful climate action begins with transforming
the way we operate.
As part of our long-term sustainability strategy, we are proud to announce the
successful conversion of 80 trucks across Raya Logistics' fleet to compressed
natural gas (CNG) — a significant milestone in our journey toward cleaner and
more sustainable logistics.
Switching to natural gas drastically reduces greenhouse gases and harmful emissions
compared to traditional diesel, directly improving air quality and combating climate
change. In the world environment day, and every day, we act green and think forward.
Raya Trade and Distribution joined forces with E‑Tadweer and the Hayat Karima
Foundation on the "Waste to Charity" campaign at Cairo's Greek Campus — transforming
e‑waste into meaningful social value. Through this initiative, 20 computers were
donated to be refurbished and repurposed for community service.
The campaign also engaged more than 2,000 visitors through the One Circle program,
collected 34 broken mobile phones, and issued 30 discount vouchers from Raya Shop
to encourage responsible recycling.
Today, we celebrate a milestone that embodies the very purpose of this collaboration:
those 20 refurbished desktops and screens have enabled the establishment of two
computer labs in a Dakahlia Governorate village — opening new doors for digital
literacy and education in an underserved community, turning discarded devices into
tools of empowerment.
Raya Trade is proud to renew its collaboration with E-Tadweer as part of an awareness
initiative organized in cooperation with Hayah Karima and supported by UNIDO, the
SWITCH to Circular Economy Value Chains program, the European Union, and the Ministry
for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
The initiative engaged students from Cairo University and Ain Shams University,
resulting in approximately 1,300 downloads of the One Circle application and the
collection of 83 electronic waste items for responsible recycling. Raya Trade
provided vouchers from Raya Stores to students who contributed their e-waste.
Through such partnerships, Raya Trade continues to support sustainability efforts
aligned with Egypt Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, while
contributing to environmental awareness and creating a positive local impact.
At Raya Trade and Distribution, we believe that true responsibility goes beyond
business — it's about standing together for the causes that matter most.
We organized two blood donation campaigns at our headquarters in Zahraa El Maadi
and at Galleria 40 in Sheikh Zayed, in support of 57357 Children's Cancer Hospital.
With the heartfelt participation of our employees, we proudly collected over 60 bags
of blood — a gift of hope and healing for children bravely fighting for their
lives.
Community solidarity is at the core of our social responsibility. Every drop donated
is a reminder that when we unite, we can make a real difference.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and its 26th anniversary, Raya Electronics,
a subsidiary of Raya Trade and Distribution under Raya Holding for Financial
Investments, has signed a cooperation protocol with Baheya Foundation for Early
Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer.
Under the agreement, Raya Electronics will dedicate a portion of its October profits
to support the development of Baheya's medical facilities. The contribution aims to
enhance the hospital's capacity to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care to breast
cancer patients throughout their treatment journey.
Raya Trade and its amazing employees came together in Galleria and Maadi to make
this Eid extra special. Partnering with Shobra El Kheir Charity Foundation, they
successfully completed a heartfelt Eid Clothing Drive, ensuring that more families
could celebrate with new clothes.
This initiative wasn't just about outfits — it was about spreading joy, sharing
kindness, and making a difference in the community. A huge thank you to everyone
who contributed. Your generosity truly shines!
Every box packed is a message of Hope. Raya Trade and Raya Logistics is proud to have contributed to this year's CSR and Ramadan packing efforts, reaching more families and individuals in need. Together, we stand for kindness, solidarity, and making an impact where it truly matters.
Raya Smart Care is now E-Waste Certified. With Egypt generating over 692 million kg of e-waste annually, this milestone reinforces our role in promoting sustainability through repair, reuse, and responsible recycling — helping give electronics a second life and reduce environmental harm.
